Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2026

These terms are between you and Clinikey Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17128862, registered office 19 Levens Hall Drive, Milton Keynes, MK4 4GD). They apply alongside Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where they differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

Who it's for

The app is for people employed by the NHS who pay income tax through their payslip, claim £2,500 or less of allowable expenses a year, and don't fill in a Self Assessment tax return.

1. A tool, not tax advice

The app helps you prepare your own tax relief claim. We are not tax advisers, and nothing in the app is a recommendation about your tax affairs. It does not file tax returns or contact HMRC on your behalf. If your situation is complicated, speak to a qualified tax adviser.

2. Estimates and your responsibility

Figures are estimates based on HMRC's published rules, HMRC's list of approved professional bodies (List 3) and the information you enter. They may not reflect your exact tax position. You are responsible for checking every figure, and everything you send to HMRC. We don't guarantee any refund amount: that depends on your circumstances and HMRC's assessment.

3. The P87 form

The app fills in HMRC's official P87 form with the details you enter. You must check it, sign it and send it yourself. Form P87 is © Crown copyright and is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

4. Subscription, cancelling and refunds

5. Keeping the rules up to date

While you subscribe, we check the tax rates, allowances, uniform flat rates, approved professional bodies and HMRC's claim process used in the app at least once every tax year, before 6 April, and release an app update when anything changes. The app shows when each set of rules was last checked.

6. Your data

Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. See our Privacy Policy.

7. Our responsibility to you

We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for losses caused by information you enter incorrectly, for HMRC's decisions, or for claims you send without checking them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms, for example when rules change. We'll show the date at the top. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
